Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Ali and I am a Registered Nurse, wife, mother, and entrepreneur.
In college, I majored in Biology, but with a semester to go until graduation, I decided I wanted to take a different path (expensive, I know). BUT, doesn’t the average student take 6 years to graduate now anyway? Well, (hand raised) that was going to be me.
I applied to one nursing school, and one only. I put my hands up and let God lead me in the direction I was to go. If I got into school, that is what I would do, if not, I would find a different path.
Guess what? I got in!!
So, off to nursing school I went. I graduated from Baker University with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2010. I still felt a void for my other passion, so on top of being an RN, I also decided to get my certification as a personal trainer.
I started my own business in the fitness industry in 2010, doing personal training online and in a gym. At this time, I was working at a Medically Supervised Weight Loss Clinic, which was a perfect fit for me!
In 2011 I opened my own personal training studio and started Love2Lift online, which was a way for me to reach and educate women about the importance of strength training. I had the ability to transform several women’s lives and I am forever thankful for those women putting trust in me and allowing me to work with them!
I also competed in my first fitness competition (then went on to do one more), which was an experience! Check that off of my bucket list! 🙂
Along with the competitions, I was blessed with some awesome opportunities. I was featured on the cover of a magazine, had several features in magazines, as well as published articles in several fitness magazines.
All of that experience was a lot of fun! There are times when I miss the challenge of it all, but then I got married and now have a son. So… my priorities have now changed for the better.
Here are my reasons for everything that I do.
My husband 🙂

As a nurse, I have recent experience in Weight Loss, and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
I have decided to get out of the fitness industry and focus more on my passion, Holistic Health, particularly nutrition.
As a nurse I have seen a lot of illness, particularly illnesses caused by poor diets, sedentary lifestyle, and bad habits. My goal is to educate people on the importance of preventative medicine, such as using nutrition, and use it as “medicine.”
Please feel free to connect with me!!
